FSMA: The resources Aus & NZ exporters need, to understand the Food Safety Modernization Act

Thursday, 10 October 2013 | Posted in FSMA by Erin Hart

The Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) has generated many questions from PMA members, including how it will affect non-U.S. produce suppliers shipping to the United States. To address these concerns, PMA is continually releasing new resources to help the global fresh produce industry understand the U.S. government’s latest proposed rules to implement the FSMA.

In addition, PMA has devoted energy to collaborating with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) by participating in FSMA public meetings held by the agency, providing comments on proposed FSMA rules and guidance, and sharing their staff and members' knowledge on industry food safety practices and realities.
